I always say that memories are the best souvenirs that you can have when you travel.  However, more often than not, these memories are much better if they are captured by video or camera.  But then again, for some people, pictures aren’t enough.  So if you are going to Baguio and you want something to take home and give to your loved ones (aside from strawberries and fresh veggies) , here are some of the things that you might want to consider. [nggallery id=9] And because Baguio is known for beautiful flowers, I also took the chance to take some…

I’ve been to Baguio several times already. The first time ever was during our college field trip and then, I can no longer count how many times after. Baguio is the the summer capital of the Philippines and because we love cold places, we always make sure to comeback here at least once every year. Our last visit to Baguio was June 2011. It was a short 3-day trip but I can still smell the heat and remember the very long journey. Despite of the 8 long hours on the bus due to traffic jam, I must say, it’s still…

When we’re still planning our trip to Cebu, we always talk about tasting what Anthony Bourdain called, the “best Lechon in the world”. Unfortunately, we were not able to do that. We’ve passed several Lechon restos and even take out counters during our 4-day trip in Cebu but for some unexplainable reason, its juicy skin did not land on our craving taste buds. sigh… BUT… looking back at our trip, we would always remember the food we had in Cebu. Though, our conversation normally includes “sayang hindi natin natikman ang Lechon Cebu”, we can easily divert our talks to the…

Last March 17-20, 2012,  I was blessed to finally see Cebu. I’ve always wanted to go and really excited to celebrate my birthday there.  There are so many memorable moments that I would like to share with you but let me just give you a tip about hiring a car/taxi when you’re in Cebu. Cebu has the look and feel of Manila. Their Ayala Mall, SM Cebu and IT Park are just like what’s in Makati, Edsa and Ortigas respectively. Well, there are of course  many places that’s really a “Cebu” thing but most of the time, my eyes are…

After we won in casino in Macau (well.. not that big ha), we made sure that we will play again when we go to Cebu. And we did, in Waterfront and Crown Regency Hotel and Towers when I celebrated my birthday there last March 17-24, 2012. We were able to triple our 500 Pesos in a matter of 30 minutes. It’s exciting but I don’t encourage anyone to make it a habit. We’re just doing it for fun. As soon as we got back in Manila, we started looking for some casinos here. And so we found the Resorts World…

I’ve been to Tagaytay numerous times already but I never had the chance to personally see the beauty of Taal Volcano up close – an active volcano that is still open for tourists (no worries, it’s being monitored by PhiVolcs) until last Sunday.  We celebrated the birthday of my brother-in-law in Leynes Resort (where my Tatay usually bring his guests from abroad).  At first, I’m a bit hesitant to go since I don’t prefer walking under the strong ray of sun (who does?).  Plus, I was also told that we will consume 30-45 minutes walk just to reach the Taal…
