One of the remarkable churches we visited in Bohol is the Baclayon Church. It is one of the oldest stone churches built during the Spanish era. Currently, there is a museum next to the church that houses significant artifacts and memorabilias that are being preserve for hundreds of years already. I can’t even forget the 18th century marriage log book there. And I felt like living in the past. So sad that cameras are not allowed so I can’t show any pictures. Anyways, what makes this church interesting, aside from its rich history is the image of Father Pio on…

Our trip to Bohol is our first stop for domestic/beach travel this 2011.  I’ve always wanted to go to this place to see the Chocolate Hills but I was surprised because it doesn’t only have the amazing hills, it is also gifted with a beautiful white-sand beach — the Alona Beach. As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, we got our ticket from PAL’s downpour deals. Our 2-day tour was hosted by Choco Tours, a local rent-a-car company based in the province. We had the Panglao tour on the first day and Bohol Countryside tour on the second day. All…

I’ve said this over and over again, I love flying with Philippine Airlines! Well.. in my lifetime, I only tried three airlines – Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and HongKong Express. But it was only in late 2008 when I first rode an airplane and that’s when we went to Vigan, Ilocos. It was Philippine Airlines – very nice for a first timer. Well.. this is my third time to fly with PAL. First was in Vigan, the second time was in Macau and this time in Bohol. We went to Bohol last week (July 27-29, 2011) and we’ve got the…

Did you know that one of the keys to have an enjoyable and truly pleasurable travel is having comfortable shoes? Well… don’t be surprised for I always associate my travel with the footwear I used.  As a matter of fact, most photos, oh I must say all photos that you can find here are my shoes stepping on various lands. They are always on the spotlight. So… it’s given already! You need to have comfortable and the right shoes during your walks. That dictates if you’re going to stop or continue your journey. I’m planning to go to Beijing on…

If you are a frequent traveler like me then you know this already! Philippine Airlines is offering the Rain , Rain…I’m going Away! Downpour Deals with selling period from July 11-16 that is valid for travel from July 25 to October 15, 2011. Philippine Airlines is celebrating their 70th year. I love flying with PAL.. it’s always my first choice. But of course, good service corresponds high price so sometimes that love is being sacrificed. We’re planning to go to Bohol and let’s see if I could get a lower fare than last night’s Midnight Sale offer. I got 5,1++…

I’m subscribed to Cebu Pacific’s newsletter and it’s only now that I was able to read their email re. the famous P1SO (Piso) Fare. All seats are of course limited but will be worthy to check out. I’ve never got the piso fare since I learned about it. So goodluck if you could find one!
