September is Mama Mary’s Month
In a solid Catholic country, September is one of the most important months for us. We usually call this the as the Marian month as we celebrate the birth of Mary (mother of Jesus). Mary of Nazareth was born on September 8, 20 BC? and believed to have died on August 15, 45 AD?. However, many believe that she did not die. She was ascended into heaven on December 8.

1969 – When a man conquered the moon, a woman from the Philippines conquered the Universe. The crowning of Ms. Gloria Diaz – the first Philippine Ms Universe.
1973 – Four years after, Margie Moran was crowned as the 2nd Ms Universe from the Philippines.
